Jason: My name's Jason. I'm the Fresh Bakery Manager, and I've been with Coles for roughly around 10 years.
​​​​​​​
My responsiblities are to look after the people within my department. Making sure our services in our bread products and our bun products along with every other line that we carry in this department are spot on for our customers each and every day.

Typical day here at Coles in the bakery for me could start anywhere from 3 o'clock in the morning to 7 o'clock in the morning.

We liason with the bakers to ensure our best products are on show each and every day.

The biggest surprise for me here at Coles is the attention to detail. Being a supermarket bakery you can be forigven for thinking that it's mass produced stuff. We deliver our best quality products daily.

Ah look my proudest moment working at Coles is without a doubt the customers. I get a wonderful reward just saying g'day and seeing the smiles on their faces.

Come in with your eyes open, your ears open, and willing to learn. Don't walk, run, it's a wonderful opportunity.

Favourite pastry to be honest is a cinnamon swirl. Quite often you'll find me in the morning, I'll grab one just to quality control them make sure that they're on point.

For me it's seeing the smiles on our regular customers and our team members each and every day. It keeps me energised, it keeps me pumped to come back the next day to do it even better.
