Paul: My name is Paul and I'm a delivery manager in the people technology platform at Coles Group.
Usha: I am Usha, I'm the project manager in Information Technology at Coles Group. I look after a portfolio of systems and applications that we use to manage our 120,000 plus employees all the way from store team members to everyone in the head office
Paul: I work with technology teams, business stakeholders and ensure quality outcomes are delivered.
Usha: Another key component is security standards and we ensure the people information is safe and protected.
Paul: A typical working day will often involve catching up with various parts of my team, catching up with stakeholders to understand new requirements they may have, or new problems they're trying to solve or to provide updates on projects that we're delivering into their space.
Usha: My typical working week looks like planning for the next two or four weeks and doing regular updates to business stakeholders on how the project is tracking so I will be reporting on any risks or issues.
Usha: This is not going in my performance review.
Usha: It's not about work all the time we hang out in the hub and have a coffee catchup or lunch get togethers.
Paul: The work I do impacts all employees of Coles. You may think that Coles is just a supermarket just selling groceries but everything that you see on a supermarket shelf is driven by the technology platforms.
Usha: There are over 120,000 members in Coles and we ensure they are paid correctly and on time so the impact is widely seen across all team members.
Paul: Probably my proudest moment is when I delivered the Salesforce platform into the Coles technology portfolio. This was bringing it on as a fully managed platform that would be utilized for various areas of the business.
Usha: My proudest moments are when a project is delivered on time with zero defects. That gives immense satisfaction. In addition to that I'm part of Women In Tech mentoring program this is to uplift female talent at Coles.
